”I had never stayed in such a unique historical property. The rooms were the largest of any hotel I have had, beds comfortable, clean, staff was friendly, mountains in the back of the property, even the soap smelled wonderful. ”

”Stayed here unplanned after our car needed to go in unexpectedly and absolutely loved it! Adorable set up. The owner was incredibly nice, even helped us pick our car when it was ready. Staying with all the animals was so much fun. Hiking bald mountain was so cool, we got to ID some new lichen and mushrooms. P.S. the eggs are delicious and I think their horse just had a foal right before we left!?”

”I was looking for a place large enough for my family to attend my daughter's college graduation. This house was perfect! We comfortably fit 7 adults. Our only minor complaint is that Maine in May can be cold and with only one heat pump running the main house, we all needed blankets and sweatshirts. However overall I highly recommend this rental and would absolutely book again.”

”Awesome location! Very nice price! All the conviences without the tourist hysteria of Bar Harbor! You can be to acadia in less than an hour, also the castine area even quicker. Ellsworth, Brewer, Bangor have everything ypu could possibly need. The lake was quiet, clean, warm, loaded with wildlife. We hope to stay longer in the future.Only cons are water pressure ( not aweful), and if you like to cook a lot, it could use newer and more pots, pans, and skillets.
