30th Anniversary Trip

Beware!!! This property is nothing what it shows! VRBO should step in and take down all the so called 5star reviews!! This place is so old, run down, and small it is not even close to the pictures! Bathroom is terrible, dirt came out of the shower head when we turned it on. The bed, well you might as well lay on the floor, you will feel better. We lasted 1 night and took the loss, moved to a hotel. Of course no answer from host when we texted how awfull everything was! I might as well of drove down the road and threw the money out the window than give it to this host! We didn't even stay in the place and lost all that we paid! VRBO, if you are reading these comments, do something about this property and its reviews. There is no way this property is a 5star rating! I will be posting our displeasure everywhere that I can. The very least the property should do is refund our money, for false listing and the fact that we didn't even stay, we left!

Location was alright but the unit itself is old and it shows. The bed is very uncomfortable but the pillows are even worse like sleeping on a flat pancake! It would have been nice to have a broom and dust pan to sweep up the sand from the beach.

Wonderful stay in Honolulu

We spent seven nights at this lovely suite. Communication from Yoshi was always fast and appreciated, from the check in and check out process. Bed was confortable. View was pretty, although cannot directly see the sunset or Friday fireworks from the lanai. It was nice to have some toiletries and beach towels in the room for our use. We do love to cook and found the cooking supplies to be okay. Would be nice to have a larger frying pan and some salt and pepper. Would also recommend a broom as it is next to impossible to keep all the sand out. Otherwise we would absolutely recommend staying here. We walked to the beach, restaurants, market, and shops daily. We slept with the patio door open so did not need to use the AC. Loved listening to the rain showers at night. Thank you, Yoshi, for all your dedication to an amazing stay on Oahu!!!!

A great room in an awesome place with an accommodating host

My wife & I came to Oahu to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The location of the hotel was VERY convenient, right on the main shopping boulevard in Waikiki. We could step out on our balcony and see the ocean, along with a lovely park. It was spectacular! Yoshi, our host, thought of everything we might need for our extended weekend stay. He even made it possible for us to check in early, which was a big help. I wouldn’t say the room was fancy, but it certainly was comfortable. For the price, I’m not sure there’s a better bargain on Oahu.

Studio Vacation

Easy to summarize this property. Host communicated very well and even when we had some challenges he was very accommodating. The studio is clean and although the furnishings are a little bit aged are comfortable overall. The balcony is tiny, but adequate for two people and the view is excellent. Early evening can be loud because of the busy Kalakaua Avenue but not really that noticeable if your glass doors are closed, Once you get your bearings, it’s extremely easy to get to the beach and back, to restaurants and shops, and even the food trucks. Buses to either end of Waikiki or easy to catch and close by. Creature comforts like air-conditioning works excellent, 65 inch TV was also great for that downtime in the evening. The pool area was nice and not overcrowded and although we didn’t use the barbeque area, it looked well laid out. We would recommend this location for others.

Best first Hawaiian vacation together at Yoshi's <3

Perfect property for our first Hawaiian getaway together! From first communication with Yoshi to booking, it was the smoothest process ever, can't say enough great things about her. She even gave us the option to pay in 3 instalments which helped a lot during the extra expenses of a Christmas Holiday vacation. Check in was a breeze, super duper clean, close to everything we needed, quiet and comfortable, what more do you need. Lots of amenities and everything easily accessible. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, Thanks Yoshi!

Convenient Room with a View in Waikiki!

We enjoyed our stay in Yoshi's studio! The room was very clean and had an amazing view. Loved the bar-height outside chairs. The property itself was well-appointed with good gas grills and a small pool. Huge TV for those who like TV. The location was convenient and Yoshi was very kind to accommodate our need for luggage storage. A couple of things to keep in mind when booking: The cookware is quite minimal and lacks cooking basics outside of equipment (e.g., no salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, tea) so be prepared to bring or purchase those items if you plan to cook. Also, the barbecue area asks for non-breakable dishware, which wasn't available in the studio (outside of plastic cups), so if you wish to grill, you'd need to prepare to purchase those items too - or grill but then serve up in your room. In general, the studio is probably best for people who plan to eat out most of the time. Also, luggage storage is in the studio itself, not at a front desk or separate room, so depending on the timing of other guests before/after you, it may not be possible for your original request. Yoshi was very communicative, responsive, and clearly wants guests to have a good time in Waikiki. Thanks, Yoshi!

5⭐️ in Waikiki

Yoshi was a great host. We really enjoyed the well equipped unit with the tremendous view! We got lots of use out of the gym and the pool/patio. There were beach chairs available that we used as well. The location is very convenient. The beach, Ala Moana Shopping Center and loads of great restaurants and shops are all within a short walking distance. We definitely enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Great Value!

My husband and I stayed at this property for 7 nights. The email from the owners explained all we needed to make our stay easy. We arrived early but they let us check in so that was very nice! It included information as to how to check in/out, how to use the valet parking, what part of the hotel amenities were included in this room fee. One thing missing (I think it was missing) from the information was about the receptions offered on the mezzanine that the hotel offers three times a week to their guests. Without reading the fine letters on the hotel announcement, we first thought we were also invited. Which was not a big deal. The view from the room was excellent!! There is nothing to obscure your view of the park below and the ocean. The sunset view that reflected on the buildings that stand the opposite of the ocean was particularly an interesting view. The beach is about a 10 minutes walk. Three things I would like to suggest that the owners will improve for the future guests: 1. The bed was not very comfortable. I think it needs a new mattress. 2. We cooked a few times, especially breakfast. The frying pan needs to be replaced. 3. Maybe not necessary to have both bar height chairs and beach chairs on the balcony? It made the balcony a little too difficult to enjoy. I know these are minor things but I am just trying to be helpful since they hope to gain 5 stars from their guests.

Great honeymoon

Yoshi was very good about answering questions and giving us everything we needed to enjoy our honeymoon vacation in Waikiki. The room was very comfortable and provided sunblock, soap, ect that we needed for the stay. There were great views from the balcony and an easy walk to to the beach

Yoshi's apartment is very nice and has a great location and view of Waikiki beach. Yoshi was fantastic with communications regarding the check-in/check-out procedures. He checked up on us several times to make sure we were pleased with his place. Any questions we asked were answered and addressed almost immediately. Nice that he had a couple of beach chairs & towels for us to use.

Me and my fiancé loved the stay. It was like a wedding work trip for us. We were checking out hotels/restaurants/bars in Waikiki and they were all walkable from here. We enjoyed the pool and gym. The valet was incredibly nice and helpful. The views from the balcony were incredible. Massive TV, new A/C unit. Plenty of fridge space to bring back leftovers. Comfortable bed. Great accommodations. We will hopefully be back to stay here again in the future!!!

Brilliant!

Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on the south shore. Overlooking the park and ocean (not other buildings, like so many other places would be). Far enough away from the business of Waikiki with still being able to walk there easily. Yoshi's place has everything we needed and more! Extrememly helpful owner everytime we needed them.

Perfect condo for 2.

This condo was perfect for our stay in Waikiki. It’s close to everything(restaurants and shopping) and there is a much quieter beach that is a 5 min walk from the condo. Great ocean views from the condo also. Yoshi is a great host. Checked in to see how our stay was and if we needed anything. Great place and the price is good also.

So convenient and comfortable!

For our first time to Oahu, this was such a comfortable and conveniently located place to stay. Yoshi was accessible, but had communicated so well, we had no needs. We had everything we needed and more. The views of the beach were beautiful. All the musts of Waikiki are in walking distance. Great stay!
