  • Beautifully renovated Waikiki studio in a fantastic location at the Hawaiian Monarch. This unit features ac, smart tv, wifi and cable a short walk from Fort DeRussy Beach Park, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ala Wai Canal and more. The Hawaiian Monarch is a secured building that includes a spacious sun deck with grilling area, pool, and hot tub steps away from Waikiki’s shopping, restaurants, nightlife and activities. Take a short stroll to Ala Moana Beach Park, Ala Moana Center, and Hawaiian Convention Center.

    This stylishly remodeled studio offers city views and sleeps 4. This unit is located on the 21st floor. Elevators are available.

    KITCHEN/DINING
    This home includes a kitchenette with a hot plate (portable stove), microwave, coffee pot, mini fridge/freezer, dishes, cups, cutlery and basic cookware.

    LIVING/SLEEPING AREA
    This unit includes a two full size beds (sleeps 2 each, 4 guests total), couch, smart tv, and ac.

    BED/BATH
    This unit includes a two full size beds (sleeps 2 each, 4 guests total) and full bath with tub/shower.

    OUTDOOR AREAS
    This home does not have a private outdoor area.

    The Hawaiian Monarch building offers upgraded amenities such as a giant Sundeck, pool and hot tub, paid fitness center (one-time nominal fee), paid luggage storage (one-time nominal fee), paid laundry (nominal fee). The building lobby levels also have a locally-owned coffee shop, car rental, King’s (bar), convenience store and restaurant (Burger & Sushi). Building has 24/7 security, elevators and attached, secured garage.

    PARKING
    This home does NOT come with parking. Paid parking is offered based on availability by the attached garage for a daily fee of approximately $40/day. Please note that the parking is not owned by or offered by us. It is ran by a separate company with no affiliation with this rental, and prices and availability are subject to change at any time.

    The Hawaiian Monarch offers easy access to Honolulu’s diverse offerings. Take a short walk to the restaurant-filled Hilton Hawaiian Village or the adjacent protected bay for swimming, picnic-ing and paddle boarding. Explore nearby Fort DeRussy Beach Park, soft-sanded beaches, famous restaurants, surf lessons, paddle board rentals, and shopping. Close to Hawaii Convention Center, Royal Hawaiian Center, Ala Moana Beach Park, Ala Moana Center, Diamond Head State Monument and more.

    This unit is not part of the hotel pool. This property is independently owned and managed and does not offer/include daily cleanings or linen services. This property does not include daily service, and requests may be pushed to the next business day.

The beach ,stores and restaurants are near by. Did not like how hard it was to check in it was horrible I had to call the number on the instructions

Dazzlingly Disappointing

Did not receive proper check-in procedure prior to arrival. Overall condition of room is rundown and needs renovation, especially the bathroom, tub and shower. Unit was not clean; floors had not been swept or mopped, every surface had a layer of dirt, crumbs and garbage from previous occupants on countertop, bathroom not cleaned, shower curtain filthy (we replaced it), bed linens and towels had dirt and stains, electric broom provided did not work, microwave rusted on inside, coffee maker heating element rusted and caked with coffee. Shower water pressure nonexistent and temperature inconsistent, fluctuated from scalding to freezing continuously. Old window curtains stained and yellowed. Could not find any way to turn on the ceiling fan. Base price misleading, total with fees after booking is more than fifty percent higher. Location is convenient walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the beach. Coffee shop and restaurant in building were nice. Memory foam beds were comfortable and air conditioning kept the room cooled. Maintenance responded by phone and through messaging promptly when contacted. Though they could not rectify the water issues, just asked if we wanted them to call a plumber.

Soap and shampoo dispenser were empty. Bathroom was in need of renovation. There's a ceiling fan, but no way to turn it on(tried every switch and button I could find. Curtains don't cover the entire window, so not very private and let's a lot of sun in.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Honestly.. I hated the stay. I booked 3 nights for my birthday, the room was okay tub was old , rusted and peeling , old nasty stained clear shower curtain, remote batteries missing. Security is rude as ever as well! Id suggest remodeling bathroom and maybe making the process to get into your unit a little easier as well. And also should let people traveling to the island know THERE IS 0 PARKING AROUND THE ESTABLISHMENT. You have to pay for the garage $45 a night that’s attached to YOUR HOTEL. Or you have to park 20-30 mins away from the hotel all together. Hate it. Beautiful views though
