”Excellent place to stay right by Dartmouth. Great location and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.”

”I have stayed here many times and I have always found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and well maintained. They also have added coffee and breakfast available in the morning which is a plus. My only complaint is that the valet parking is exorbitant. It's easier to leave your car on the street over night and move it before 9 am, which they don't tell you.”

Otherwise the property was okay. Simple and relatively clean. The sleeper sofa had food crumbs on the mattress.”

”Staff was wonderful! Our junior suite was comfortable. We enjoyed some of the older touches of the place as it evoked good memories of times gone by. Things are basic and it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and we were thankful for the ac that we could control in the room. Lots of easy walking and interesting places to eat in walking distance. Only downside is the parking so be prepared to walk a bit. There are a few handicapped spots right outside. Would certainly come back and...

”The AC was locked and did not stay on. Had to get up to pull plug to reset several times in night. If I pay for the room I should be able to set the temp to my preference. Otherwise the hotel was very good but disappointing regarding comfort from AC”

”I booked this room for my sons because we had our basement sealed and had to be out of the house for 24 hours. My wife and I were out of town and I booked this room for my two sons, 19 and 20 years old. They were not allowed to check in even though I called and talked to the desk manager.”

However, for the price we paid we were expecting a decent middle of the road room that reflected the pictures on the website, but unfortunately that was not the case and the pictures on the website did not match the appearance of the actual room. The room was rundown; broken outlets, missing pieces to switches, poor paint job trying to hide the cracks and mold on the walls, poor lighting and drainage in the bathroom.”

”I absolutely loved Dowd's Country Inn! The Inn is lovingly maintained - inside and out. My room was beautifully furnished, with soft lighting, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Breakfast is made-to-order and included in the reasonable lodging fee. The spacious common areas brimmed with character.
