”My husband and I lived in Alpena for nearly 30 years. We returned recently for a family wedding. Rather than stay in a chain hotel, we explored our options. Having lived in the area, the idea of staying in an historical building appealed to us... we were not disappointed!! We will be back!!”

Spotting bears, deer, and dozens of birds was truly a highlight of our trip. I like that we brought all our own linens and bedding, I feel that is more efficient for both owner and guest. The lake, the use of the resort's aluminum rowboats (we attached our own motor), grills, firepit and outdoor furniture made it a fun, relaxing week and we all agreed we would definitely like to return to...
