”The cave room at the chateau is fantastic. Besides a couple of spiderwebs and some steep steps, it is truly a find in the Loire valley. Excellent space, oasis of rest, great sauna, even better hot tub!”

”We loved our stay at Hôtel Au Charme Rabelaisien in Amboise. Jaques was so accommodating, he helped coordinate the pick up of our rental car, with dinner suggestions and reservations. The hotel is so central. Amboise is a charming town to walk and explore. Be sure to include their breakfast. It is fabulous and a great way to start each day!”

”The room was fantastic and the staff very accommodating. The linens, bed and toiletries were amazing. Only drawback was roof repair on portion of chateau so arrival photo isn’t great. It did not impact our visit at all.”

”Very nice hotel with excellent view of Amboise. Service was excellent and our whole family incl. our Great Dane enjoyed the visit a lot. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amboise or the surrounding area. Hotel has a lot of parking places and town it self is very near.”

”The room was very cold - lovely large size but difficult to heat in the winter. Good location. Unfortunately the restaurant was also closed in early December but the nearby town of Amboise was lovely.”

”The room was very cold. We told the desk but nothing happened. I had to sleep far away from the window which was wet with moisture all over. I had to wear my parka to sleep. What a terrible nightmare!! I don’t go back to that hotel. ”

”Room and property was spotless. Owner very kind and hospitable. Breakfast was fantastic, better then Paris. We enjoyed experiencing the country side of France. This was just the right location to walk a little after dinner. It was just far enough and close enough to downtown Ambroise. The property is wonderful. The Lamas and the cat were a special treat. I would highly recommend this B & B in the Amboise area. ”

”Charming host lady with charisma, sweet stories, and attention to detail. It is obvious she enjoys having visitors and treating them as family. The house is also a pleasure to wonder around with old antique furniture. Finally the rooms rented are renovated and spacious. So you have the charm of an old mansion with the comfort of today's amenities!”

”We came in winter and our room was warm, quiet, comfortable, and clean. Our host offerered a complimentary daily breakfast that was delicious and was a very much appreciated start to the day. Location is steps away from the Chateau Royal as well as many good restaurants. Highly recommend this excelent hotel.”
