”When we arrived the person onsite said that they normally don't work there. Later found out it was the owner. They gave our room away earlier in the day. After the front desk walked up to check a room tried to give us a 2 double bed room and I paid for a king. So we left to get dinner and come back to check in as we was told they would clean a king bed room for us. We did get checked in finally at ten oclock at night. They brought us three TV's before we got one that worked, there was...

”This was a very budget friendly hotel. You can clearly tell that they had been doing some renovations. Our room was spacious. The bathroom sink was stained and our floors needed a good sweeping from the floors being done. The breakfast was very good and that room was very clean. Overall we got what we paid for and it was fine for the weekend.”

”The EV charger in the front of the building was decommissioned (not operative), but the staff person did not know this. Not Staysure fault, but at least the staff should know about it.”

”Very nice stay everything was very clean and looked nice. Breakfast was good they had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy for hot food also a waffle maker, and plenty of other choices of bagels pastries and drinks. Staff was awesome.”

”Clean room. Awesome staff. 24/7 Keurig in the lobby. Walkable to shops and restaurants (strongly recommend Theresa’s cafe for lobster roll). We stayed Sat-Tue, and it’s important to know that many local/regional restaurants are not open Mon/Tue (not sure about Sunday, we had a picnic). The only thing I wish were better was the breakfast - limited choices, mostly carbs, of course and only boiled eggs for GF. They have limited space to serve, so I understand, but it would have been nice to have...

”Clean room”

”The ceiling fan didn't turn on, and the heat pump didn't spit out any cold air. Decent room, king bed, lots of space. Overall can't complain. ”

”It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. ”The property was sweet. Loved the pond in the back and the white goose. There are 4 wheeler trails nearby so want to make another visit to explore. There is a great restaurant around the corner too that was excellent. Good food great prices. Overall a great place to get away.”
