”The room was fine, some moldy caulking in the bathroom. I booked a room to relax and get some good sleep in before starting a cross country drive, was not expecting a text message at 7am asking when I expect to be checking out, that and the way the owners/family park right in front of the entrance practically blocking the door was very off putting.”

”The new owners are trying very hard to please the customers. It is probably the best full-service hotel lodging option in Frankfort, with an excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinners. It is a short walk to the beach and lighthouses and a great jumping off point for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore to the north and Arcadia Dunes to the south.”

”Beautiful, peaceful, clean, well-stocked kitchen. The hosts were really accessible and helpful in communicating and taking care of questions and concerns. The linens were wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. The lake is wonderful with morning light and the kayaks were super and we had fun tooling around the lake. ”We had a wonderful week here and the location is hard to beat. The views are beautiful, the beach is just steps away, and it’s an easy walk into Frankfort. We also enjoyed the family photos throughout the house and even found ourselves trying to piece together the family tree!That said, the house could use some maintenance and better stocking, especially for larger groups. While it’s advertised to accommodate a large number of guests, we found there weren’t enough bath towels, only one beach...
