”Attendant was friendly, room was clean and a/c was cold. Lots of parking. Great place to say if all you need is a clean room and comfortable bed. Has a microwave and good sized fridge as well.”

”Overall it was conducive for our stay. The entrance and front desk smell would have turned us around as it was very musty but the hallways and rooms are not.”

”Secluded and quiet but close enough to get to either Shreveport or Ruston. We rode up Hwy 519 to check Lake Claiborne and Homer. Then back down to Minden. Very scenic.”

”The property was top notch. The pictures don’t do it justice. We had 8 adults who slept in the property and 2 that stayed in an RV with their teenagers in the circle drive. There was plenty of room for our other 4 cars in the driveway, and my sister and her family could have stayed in the house with us but they were traveling through and decided to just stay in their RV. There was so much to do for everyone! We enjoyed the outside games by the grill and Blackstone while watching football...

”Mallard House was perfect for a little family getaway.. It’s been updated recently and was super clean. Best part of the weekend was relaxing and watching the water through the wall of windows in the sunroom with morning coffee. Kitchen is stocked with the basics and the owners were kind enough to leave some microwave popcorn. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were stocked with soap. Shampoo & conditioner. Their regular coffee maker had recently broken but there is a kuerig. Plenty of games &...

”Second time staying here an had zero issues. Less pricey than other places not as fancy but gets the job done. While feeling comfortable. They go above and beyond for customers.”

”Everything was as advertised. Room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast buffet was good and staff was very friendly. The only negative I have is, its right off the interstate, and the noise level is very high and makes it difficult to sleep.”

”Disgusting. Dirty. Restroom had hair in the tub and mold in corners. Sink leaked all over the floor. Old food left behind. Bed smelled like wet clothes. Housekeeping came and only fixed bed. Left trash and same old food that was there before we checked in. ”

”Cleanliness the shower are old stain can be replaced. Still able to shower but can be replaced. The baseboards were dusty also. The carpet needs a cleaning behind bed a lot dusty. The lobby clean. The hall carpet a stain that should have been clean up on Saturday night was still there at 4am when I left the hotel. All the staff was very nice. Breakfast good parking good. I just think training needs to be done for cleaning of rooms.”
