The ship, with a crew of seven, was sailing from Flensburg, Germany to her homeport, Mariehamn, with only ballast on board. A snowstorm forced the ship to try to round north of Ăland, to seek shelter in Kalmar, but the rounding attempt failed and the ship got stuck in the sand dunes below the water (ĂnggĂ€rdsudden) near the beach of Trollskogen.The crew abandoned ship and got to land in a lifeboat, walking through the forest of Trollskogen before reaching Grankullavik, where they were cared for a week. One crew member had gotten blood poisoning from a rusty nail and was cared for in hospital...

Aamupala monipuolinen ja egologinen mutta huonosti jÀrjestetty jonotusjÀrjestelmÀ.
Luulen ettĂ€ meidĂ€t kaksi sullottiin yhden hengen huoneeseen.â

âUpea sijainti ja rannanpuoleisista huoneista hieno nĂ€köala venerantaan. Muutoinkin ympĂ€ristö on hyvĂ€ ja kĂ€velymatkan pÀÀssĂ€ nĂ€htĂ€vyyksistĂ€. Huone oli tilava ja siisti. Aamupala oli monipuolinen. Ongelma oli, ettĂ€ hellejakson aikana olisi ilman muuta pitĂ€nyt jĂ€ttÀÀ ikkuna yöksi auki mutta hotellin/ravintolan/yökerhon pihalta kantautui niin kova musiikin jytke, ettei nukkumisesta tullut mitÀÀn. Pienempi paha oli lopultakin sulkea ikkuna, mikĂ€ jossain mÀÀrin vaimensi meteliĂ€ ja yrittÀÀ nukkua...
