”The Baymont is a budget hotel. For a budget hotel it was a good value. The beds were clean and comfortable, the staff super friendly, and the grounds safe. They always provided plenty of towels during my stay. It is an older building. Although it was clean, it still showed its age. As with most hotels, it’s not sound proof. ”Hotel Roanoke is the gold standard for the city. Great on prem restaurant - one of the best eggs benny I’ve ever had. Rooms fairly spacious for a legacy hotel. Amenities top drawer. Easy walking distance to downtown. Worth the premium.”

”The room smelled of cigarettes although its supposed to be non-smoking. The towels were kids size. The staff is rude. Night clerk was unfriendly and the breakfast attendant is rude and non-personal. She did not want to let me sit with my wife because they closed breakfast although my wife was inside. I didn't want to eat just sit with her and that came with plenty of attitude. The breakfast area was a mess. Would not recommend.”

”Acceptable for the price. The hotel is basic and definitely not luxurious, but it served its purpose for a short stay. The room was decent, and the bed was comfortable enough. The area isn’t the best, but considering the price, it was a reasonable option. The only thing that should be improved is the cleaning and maintenance of the AC filter, as it was quite dirty.”

The only negative and it’s minor, is there needs to be some type of shelf in bathrooms where there is only a single vanity. Place was amazing. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was good.
