”Amazing is an understatement. The hosts were very gracious, attentive, pleasant, informative, & over all the best host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The bungalow was very clean, bed was comfy and firm & necessary toiletries were provided & up kept. Even with no AC it got so cold at night that it wasn’t needed. ”We stayed here for a few nights while visiting the Poas Volcano and area waterfalls. Our stay here was WONDERFUL! The place is clean, updated and has such a beautiful view. The host had great communication. We booked the place specifically for the hot tub and it did not disappoint, such a relaxing way to end the day after lots of hiking. 10/10 recommend!!”

”This hotel in nothing more than several rotted out cabins on the hill. The site says a 2 star hotel, it is not a one star by anyone's measure. If you do not have a jeep 4 wheel drive do not attempt to drive down to the hotel. We booked this and went to the hotel. The area was closed, due to volcanic activity, but since we had a reservation the police let us pass. I started down the road, stopped and walked over 800 meters to the lodge. Convenient location close to the airport, shuttle buses operate 24 hrs and the hotel sends you information about the details before arrival. The staff at the breakfast was amazing and very friendly, especially Raúl who brought me fresh fruits from the kitchen 😊.
