”The Retreat is gorgeous. The views of the Volcano and Lake are amazing. The pescatarian menu is perfect for vegetarians and pescatarians. All three meals are served. We did not have meals included but very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The pocket sized gathering places are charming - slider over looking lake, dining room and reception, the separate lounge area with tea and coffee looking into the jungle. The evening walk was fun.
The property is on the top of a very steep hill...

”The worst place we have ever been. The room was dirty, there were water leaks, cracked walls and floors, broken windows, rusty faucets. It rained the whole night and we could hear the loud noise of the water falling on the tin roof.
We had a reservation for four nights and stayed just one, after agreement with the director of paying for one night getting the rest of our money our money back. This never happened. We have been calling them for two months now and they just give bad excuses. Staff...

”The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. I really enjoyed the trails and bird watching tower. Everyone on staff was amazing as well. Reception was so helpful in planning my itinerary and arranging transportation. The on site tour guides were knowledgeable and passionate about their work. The food was delicious with lots of vegan options. My only minor suggestion for improvement is that the spa should be moved away from the pool area as it gets a bit noisy. Overall though, I loved...

”Beautiful and intimate, Vida Mountain is a sanctuary tucked away from the noise of the nearest city. The food is spectacular and provide a wide variety of options for anyone. Bernice is a fabulous person and she runs this resort with great care and attention, while also respecting people’s quiet and solitude. Perfect for couples and those seeking a high end experience at a very respectable price. Spa, wellness center and hiking trails all onsite. ”
