”The location close to the port was important with ferry access but it was nice to be able to walk around the historical port area. The staff spoke English and were very helpful- I had not had lunch and was starving - they graciously made me a snack (it was not free but I was grateful). They also made a great dinner recommendation in close proximity. The previous night the area was involved in protests and I felt very safe as a female solo traveler.”

”AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! The pictures of this accommodation are false advertisement. On arrival there was a musky damp smell in which a candle was lit in attempts to mask the smell. COCKROACH infested in every room, when communication was made to the host he ignored this and had a cleaner to kill them with her slipper. This accommodation is moldy, smelly and not worth the money. AVOID!!!!”

”Good service but really low quality stay”

”The property needs to be upgraded. The furniture on the balcony was dingy and unattractive. The tiles on the perimeter of the balcony as moldy. The views were lovely. The hotel is located in the heart of everything on the beach. It would lovely if it was refreshed ”

”The unit was right above the bar and other entertainment common areas. It was loud till around 22:00. The hotel animator was loud and overdone. Other than that, the ocean front was very shallow on the entire beach. Good for kids. Our hosts were excellent and very helpful. The unit was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Choose local off site restaurants rather than the buffet.”

”We had an awesome time staying at La Toubana! The set up of the resort on the cliff side is very unique….. having a pool up top overlooking the sea and beach below offers the best of both worlds. They have done a great job of making each bungalow feel secluded utilizing the elevation of the cliff and foliage of the land. Bungalow 19 had a great view of a small cover and cliff side but also the southern tip of Basse-Terre in the background. This resort is on the smaller scale and more intimate,...
