”Location was everything about the empress. Great food at the hotel and near with walkable access to the heart of Victoria. Highly recommend renting a car as a lot of cool castles and beaches are close drives away. The garden was fantastic and live music and salmon at the hotel restaurant was great .”

”For an older hotel I booked ocean view which was partially blocked by a giant, which was completely out of their control. I wish when booking they would advise that there are two sides, laurel wing which faces the Empress and Erickson wing which faces the incoming wharf (would have preferred this). The bed was extremely comfy! The bathroom was a bit outdated, the tub/shower combo is quite aged and small, though extremely clean and well maintained. The staff, omg the staff, absolutely...

”I laughed when the motel came up as I remembered it from my childhood. I didnt know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by our stay. The rooms weren’t fancy but very clean. I wasn’t bothered by any traffic noise and the bed was very comfortable (best pillows ever). The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The breakfast did the trick and the great room was nice. Awesome to have tea, coffee, and specialty coffees available at all times. The guests mingling and having the pool table...
