”I booked Olu Based on the reasonable price and great reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. The family were wonderfully friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, the 2 family dogs are a lovely touch for animal lovers and the villa is clean and quiet with great WiFi. Great hot water in the showers and a wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast is available on request. Would definitely stay again when back in Colombo.”

”This hostel was the worst I've ever been to. When we first got there, after it took the tuktuk driver 45 min to find the place, there was a dead cockroach waiting for us on the floor. The room was very untidy, the whole hostel was, and it smelled awful there. We didn't get towels like we were supposed to. The bathrooms and showers were not that bad but you could tell that nobody cleaned them for the two nights we stayed. The staff was ok, one guy helped us to find a place to eat and was polite.”
