”Lovely breakfast, both cooked and buffet. Service was polite and efficient without feeling rushed. Plenty of room in the dining room and lounges. Our bedrooms were spacious and clean with many sockets, a hot tub and whirlpool bath, full set of Wainwright’s guides, and the fridge was kept stocked with fresh milk (not the usual UHT rubbish), water, tea, coffee and even biscuits. The WiFi was excellent, probably the best hotel WiFi I’ve ever used. I was surprised that such a nice bathroom...

”I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. ”

”The property is a lovely place that has kept its unique original features. The Victorian facades and interior are refreshingly maintained. The staff are all very welcoming and genuinely friendly. Well located in a rural spot but 5 minutes walk into town, via the sea front promenade.”

”What a wonderful hotel. Greated by the owner when we arrived, explained everything about the hotel, offered to help us with the local area if we didn’t know how to get around. The breakfast choice was immense and everything we had was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Rich and Ada were both very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again. Location is perfect, the same distance from Bowness and Windermere and both being walkable ”

”We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was good. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool and steam room were good. The gym was probably the biggest one I've seen in a hotel. Plenty of parking available. We slept very well here. Overall a great experience and we'd visit again, but have dinner somewhere else.”
