”We had a great time staying at Amaranta, very friendly and smily staff always trying to make us feel welcomed and ready to help. Facilities are always clean, rooms are large and very clean, very comfortable bed, the only thing I would say it wasnt that great is the AC going from 0 to hero but it works! The food at the restaurant was really good. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxed staying.”

”We loved staying at this hotel and found the setting and scenery very beautiful. the hotel consists of little bungalows inside the forest, right next to the lake. I would like to see more information about the hotel services to be more readily available in the rooms and public areas (ie spa & other facilities). the pool should be renovated and enlarged. Also the hotel should provide some paddle boats and kayaks for rent so that people can enjoy the beautiful lake.”

”Food good, breakfast nice, although expensive. Swimming pool looked and prob was lovely but right next to restaurant with glass walls so a bit too public for us. Nice sitting area close to trees with monkeys passing through. Staff very courteous and helpful, they arranged an elephant safari for us the same afternoon we arrived. The hotel is quite far from any other hotels or sights - Sigiriya is about 40 mins - so there’s no walking to eat anywhere else but you could get a tuktuk.”

”Location is good which near the Cave Temple in a walkable distance. A bit far away from downtown but tuktuk to downtown or bus station is just only about few mins. ”Amazing hostel with great social vibe. Friendly owner and staff. Organised bbq was great to help us meet other people and we had a really good night on that day. There aren’t really many restaurants nearby but you can take a 20-25 min walk or get a tuktuk, or the staff will order food to be delivered for you. ”

”Visited this hotel for 2 nights. Hotel had a lot of problems, like dirty room and trash from the previous guests, but the biggest problem was the customer service. Internet did not work at all in the hotel. When i went to complain about it, worker told me sit down and wait for the manager. After 45 minutes of waiting nobody came.
