”We only stayed a single night on the way to Johannesburg airport, but we enjoyed all of it. Wonderful room with fantastic views and a G/T on the terrace. Nice homecooked dinner and breakfast and overall just great service. We felt very welcome. Only downside was that the mosquitoes were as happy to see us as Holger and Norma. Glad this is not a malaria area. ”

”We booked in at Duck & Trout after someone on Twitter recommended them to me - we were lucky to get one of the last rooms available as the whole of Dullstroom turned into Lekkerland for a day-festival. We had a lovely stay, and we even requested to check out a bit later as we wanted to go for a hike, and it was perfect. Thank you so much to all the friendly staff at Duck & Trout, we will be back again!”

”2 weeks prior to our arrival, we sent a message, and have still not had a reply. At arrival, the host did not know we were coming and had no info about our booking. Luckily she did a good job on preparing our house quickly. Kitchen supply was very old, frying pan useless and no toaster. ”

”I stayed at the cottage with my elderly parents and 10 year old son. The house was lovely, clean and fully equipped with cookware, dishes and even a washer and dryer which came in handy as two of our suitcases had been delayed. We visited in the winter (late July) and it was cold! We made a fire in the fireplace which was lovely but it was hard to warm up the house, even with the wall heaters. I kept wishing I had brought my slippers as the stone floors froze my feet. But a fully recommended...

”Incredible place. We were looked after very well by all staff. We had a fantastic stay. Food is lovely. It's just a chill out place ... one with nature. A must visit when you are travelling to or/and from Kruger National Park. All being well, we shall return.”

”Heel apart verblijf in nette niet al te grote maar kamer die groot genoeg is met comfortabel bed. De opvang en begeleiding is fantastisch. Er wordt een geweldig diner verzorgd en lekker ontbijt. Jammer dat af en toe aangekondigd de stroom uitvalt, maar daar kunnen de hoetelhouders ook niets aan doen.”
