”This hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Chlemsford and it is only a short walk to the mainline train station, which has excellent and frequent Greater Anglia train services to London. The hotel staff, especially the reception ladies, are very friendly and pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet has now been replaced by a freshly cooked to order offering, for which you need to allow extra time. My only gribble was the breakfast coffee was tepid.”

”We loved our visit to the Colchester Boutique Hotel. It's very close to the centre of town where there are lots of places to get food and drink and do a little sightseeing. The hotel has a quirky charm with several communal areas decorated nicely with art and antiques. We particularly liked the vintage cigarette machine. Continental breakfast was lovely with lots of options: pastries, pancakes, cereal, fruit, meat and cheese plus an added bonus of scrambled eggs made to order. The staff were...

”My partner and I stayed for the weekend. We had dinner in the pub on Friday which was so nice. The room was spacious and I loved the decor. It was clean and very comfortable. Lovely selection of teas and coffees and even biscuits and a chocolate. Good Wi-Fi reception. Good water pressure in the shower. Everything was perfect. We’ll definitely stay again. ”
