”The place is under a new management and has been remodeled. The whole place was extremely clean. We did have some problems with the keyless locking system and did not have internet for the night we stayed there. There is a restaurant that had just opened from 7:00 to 3:00 and a 24-hour convenience store that is well lit with little snacks and sodas and such in vending machines. The location is quite quiet and right off the Blue Ridgeparkway. Pretty close to an excellent restaurant Chateau...

”Wonderful area, lots to do & see. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. So very quiet up there, large porch, lots of rocking chairs & a swing. They had a spacious interior(living room & separate dining room), library with puzzles & games. Good Coffee & tea Excellent food! Staff was personable but were careful to give you space. Can't wait to go back!”

”The Oakdale Inn is our favorite place to stay while in southern Virginia. The Inn is wonderful, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast is very enjoyable, and the location is very convenient to anything that you're doing in the area. The Innkeeper (Erin) is a fantastic and helpful aspect of your experience, too. Highly recommended!!”

”Very sad old hotel that is in great need of repairs and upgrades. There were 2 beds in the room, one was hard as a board and the other was way too soft. Wallpaper coming down, carpet badly stained, unrepaired damage in bathroom, etc. Desk clerk was very nice.”

”Accommodations were top notch. We had a peaceful, relaxing weekend. We enjoyed sitting on the deck drinking our morning coffee and in the evening, we watched the wildlife and the sunset.”
