”I bragged to my friends that I spent 3 days at a nice hotel by the Yellow River. The room was spacious and clean, and the service was good. I was satisfied because there were many kinds of breakfast. I used the bar after dinner and I was impressed by the kindness of the waitress. However, I had no choice but to use a taxi to get out of town, so that was a shame. But the staff call a taxi quickly I didn't have any difficulties. Even if I went back to Lanzhou I will be using the Crown Plaza Hotel.”

”We stayed in a business suite which was delightful, large, clean, beautifully appointed. There were two big problems: the heat didn't work, and the room was quite cold even in November. In addition, there was only a trickle of hot water! Taking showers was a challenge. For the money, this hotel was worth it, but the experience could have been much better. ”

”The Ibis train station hotel is an easy walk from the train station, and there are plenty of local food options within a 20 minute walk. My only complaint is that the room was too hot (in January!) and we could not get the the room to cool down. Note that the hotel and city of Lanzhou have very little English, so a translator is needed. American credit cards are not accepted at the hotel, so pay online when booking the room, or pay in local currency.”

”The listing on the website was erroneous. It said the Standard Room came with a jetted bathtub, so I booked it. When I checked in, there was no bathtub at all. Front desk said that only Deluxe rooms and up had bathtubs, but that there were no Deluxe rooms available. I was made to upgrade to the Executive Deluxe room at full price, and even the Executive Deluxe room's bathtub did not have jets.
