”Beautiful property. My only complaint is the stairs and parking lots need better lighting; especially at Chestnut Lodge. There were no lights in the parking area and limited on the stairs. Also at the main lodge stairs - I tripped down the front steps of the main lodge while checking out because it was still dark outside. If I hadn’t of caught the railing, I would’ve fallen to the ground.”

”Excellent”

”The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The horses are an added bonus of peacefulness making this location unique. Hotels can be beautiful and noisy, this place was like a little slice of heaven. Stay there you won’t be disappointed. John was very good at keeping in touch and seeing if we needed anything. I will definitely stay there again if I am going that way.”

”We enjoyed our stay. The home reminded us of childrenhood with our grandparents. It was a short drive to all kinds of thrift shops and antique stores which we love. The restaurant next door was awesome. The host was easy to communicate with.”

”This is the cutest little farmhouse! So comfortable, clean, and the host is extremely helpful and friendly! Also, there are some hidden gems nearby to try out, like The Palisades Restaurant! Go Hokies!”

”An amazing location.”

”Anita communicated in a timely and welcoming fashion. Her property was clean and very attractive. We had a comfortable stay and would consider it again. Thank you.”

”Very nice place and location. Great for a couple.”

”Property was just as described. We did overshoot the driveway so a little blurb on that on the check-in instructions would be good. Rooms were all lovely. But outdoor space was amazing. We paddled up the creek and this house has the best portion for floating & fishing. We had a really amazing time.”

”Very convenient location in Pembroke. Large acreage with goats and ponies, very private and great outside spaces. House is comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Nancy was very attentive and communicated well.”

”House was very clean with a well appointed kitchen. Great space for a large family with room to spread out. We love being beside the beautiful creek. ”

”Fantastic stay! Worked out great.”

”Nancy was a great host and quick to respond to any questions. Property was clean and well maintained.”

”This was a very nice place. It was very clean and neat. Check in and check out was very easy. The pictures were accurate. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire enjoying the view of the water. .”

”Highly recommend this rental. The house is well stocked and very clean. It is located in a quiet area and has a nice outdoor area to relax. We spent a lot of time shooting pool, sitting on the deck, and fishing/swimming in the creek. We will be returning for another stay.”
