”I stayed here 2 weeks ago when driving to visit family in Michigan and was given the same room and rate in the way back. I'm the type that just wants a clean room comfortable bed and a shower as I travel cross country. This place is a bit old and dated, and needs more outlets but overall, it is clean, convienent and the staff/owners are friendly.”

”We love staying at the Garst House whenever we’re in town to visit family. We love the interesting history of the place, and all the old furnishing. Everything is old, and yet, spotlessly clean. It’s like staying at Grandma’s house.”

”This house was perfect for our family gathering in my wife’s hometown. Plenty of room for the 8 of us to sleep, and a large dining/living room area for a family meal and space to visit. The beds were comfortable. 2 grandsons claimed the room in the basement with a couch and loveseat. This will definitely be top of our list again if we have another family gathering here. Large smart TV in the main room. Smaller TV in some of the bedrooms. Nice book collection, and some DVD’s.”

”We had a family reunion because of a wedding and it was wonderful. We had a great time!! Loved Lake panorama! And most of us were within just a few steps of each other! Nathan was great!!”

”Beautiful property - better than advertised! Our stay was peaceful and quiet, and we loved the owners' access to the hiking trail right though their backyard. The place was spotless, with great water pressure and comfortable bed, and the kitchenette had what we needed so we could stay there and make all our meals. The owners were friendly and very quick to help when we asked a question, but also very much gave us our privacy for our quiet weekend.”

”Our group of seven plus three dogs stayed in the farmhouse for a week during the summer and were very comfortable there! The house is large and very private, and we wish that it had been cooler weather so that we could have enjoyed a fire in the inside fireplace. We did somewhat miss having a dishwasher, but we survived! The listing and pictures are accurate, so you know that while it might not be the most luxurious accomodations, the affordability makes up for that. It is a drive to get back to...

”We had a relaxing fun time getting all 4 little cousins together for a long weekend. This was a perfect place do so- we played in the pool, utilized the playroom, went for nature walks around the property and played outside while grilling. A wonderful time for adults and kids alike!”
