”The property was clean and the room had nice sea views. The rooms are in a converted house next to the Indian restaurant at the site. They are as mentioned in the description accessed via stairs .. quite a few although was offered help with bags. The main negative factor is the location. We arrived and witnessed an altercation on the street in the mid-afternoon with a women punched in the face. The police attended.
We looked for other food options but only fish and chips available nearby....

”Great location, with good amenities. Older property. Not equipped to handle the heat that Britain is experiencing at the moment. Rooms were SO hot.”

”The staff were pleasant and the pool area was OK. Location of the hotel was good. However on the second floor the decor was in need of a lot of improvement. The carpet was threadbare in places; the corridor and our room 223 had paint flaking off in places; the curtains were in need of replacement and were tattily drawn which looked a mess. The bathroom only had one narrow shelf above the toilet which meant there was nowhere to put your toiletries. Finally thought paying £10 per night for car...

”The staff were all lovely.
There was a Porsche event. We were most definitely ‘extras’ to this event. Breakfast in particular. Couldn’t find our booking? Assumed with Porsche event and once explaining (both mornings) that we were just regular guests we were then sat in a seperate area. Very strange experience . Staff were lovely none the less, John in particular.
At arrival, again once explained we were not with the Porsche event, we were told to drive down to the guest car park and the porter...

”Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant...

”Enjoyed my stay at the Menai hotel, my room was a good size and clean and comfortable too. The hotel breakfast was very good also.
The hotel's location is in Upper Bangor and is not far from the railway station and near bus routes and not far from the town centre either.
The limited interaction I had with hotel staff I can say that they were pleasant and helpful.
Overall, definitely no complaints.”
