”This is a very basic hotel next door to a casino and leisure center near Jonzac town. 3 nights here was a long time for how little there is to do, but we were only in the area for proximity to a wedding venue in La Canonerie. This should not be advertised as 4*, the exterior is very run down, our apartment room overlooked the carpark, the balconies are run down, no basic amenities in the room like a hairdryer or iron, no cooked breakfast options just a very simple buffet in the hotel lobby, no...

”A wonderfully quirky, interesting and special place to stay, monsieur is a delightful and very helpful host. Lovely breakfast is served in an old mill room, with the watermill leat running through the adjoining room… the whole property is quite amazing. Although it is sited in the midst of countryside, it is an easy 15 to 20 minute walk into the centre of Pons, with its medieval tower, town square and some lovely restaurants. We loved it there and would certainly book again should we come this...

”A great last minute find, as we wanted to get to Mortagne sur Gironde. A beautiful restoration of a large house by the hard work of the hosts, Suzanne and her husband! Unfortunately, we could only stay for just the ONE night ..... but we could see that it would a be lovely place to relax and unwind over several days, especially with this property having a lovely large swimming pool (which gets cleaned by a robot hose with small underwater tractor unit - amazing!”
