”I absolutely HATE the AI driven, or it seems so, front desk check-in process. It is so unfriendly and distant. I want to see a real human being. In fact, I didn't see any motel staff at all during my stay! The room appeared to have been upgraded; however, the truth is in the details. Especially, the bathroom. Newly repainted, however, numerous areas of pealing old paint and drywall, was not repaired, only painted. The shower grab bar connection points were encrusted with mold and rust. The...

”Great place to stay”

”Great place!”

”Love Whiskey Mansion. Beautiful old mansion!! Staff were excellent!! Breakfast delicious!! The woodwork in the house was so beautiful!! Will be back!! A real gem in St Joseph!!”

”Wonderful hospitality and a beautiful apartment. Our only difficulty was rather steep stairs for elderly guests. Overall we loved it!”

”It was ok for A short stay”

”I don’t know how this place is open and operational. Musty, moldy, everywhere - rooms clearly not well maintained - black mold recently wiped from walls, A/C units blowing moldy contaminated air, fire exits blocked-locked-unusable, dangerous and unhealthy. Allergies and asthma symptoms started immediately. Staff said they would refund my three night stay and then declined refund to my 3rd party travel company and were non-responsive. We were there for a total of 30 minutes and couldn’t...

”Clean, everything as described, quiet location.”

”Not for us. “Vintage” means old & creaky, narrow doorways and old bathroom fixtures. Not romantic as was expected from reviewers. “Do it yourself breakfast” was unexpected and why would we want to cook while on vacation and in a strange kitchen? Then there was no OJ, no fresh muffins or pastries, only prepackaged foods. The only decaf coffee was instant and no plain coffeemate. Only whole milk. We went to Perkins! Across the street were barking dogs and other guests (a family) talked...

”Had a hiccup when first checking in BUT the owner was quick with replies and taking care of issue. Place is exactly as described. Quiet, off beaten path, river view house. Very nice sunsets. This was the perfect rental for me, I like an off the beaten path place - yet still a 10-15 min max drive to all needs. Beds were comfy, water was hot, and view was excellent. Would suggest to bring slippers for inside house. If a light sleeper bring earplugs. Train comes by quite a bit. Sometimes not...

”We had a good experience staying! Everything went smoothly and the host was very pleasant and communicated well, which made me feel comfortable where we stayed. Everything was laid out and explained without me having to figure the stay out. It was a cozy place to stay!”
