”It’s a bit off the beaten path but once you get here, it’s very well kept and the owners are very accommodating. Each cabin has a fire place and they start a fire for you at night. There is also a heater for when that isn’t enough.”

”We had a beautiful time at Cananvalle. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It is a place quite a bit outside Ibarra and without transport you have to rely on taxis to get around. Saying that the local taxis are cheap and safe. ”

El desayuno es un poco básico, pero está dentro del precio. La recomiendo tanto para ir con familia como para ir en pareja”

”This is a converted monastery / retreat center that is really comfortable, and has not only breakfast but a full dining room with a great dinner. It's right near Cotacahi and Lake Cuicacho. Staff is super friendly, breakfast is great. Two issues to be aware of: (1) it's hard to find and there and Google Maps had old road configurations which didn't work :( (2) the facility and gardens could use a little bit of tender loving care. All in al it was a great stay.”
