”It’s a bit off the beaten path but once you get here, it’s very well kept and the owners are very accommodating. Each cabin has a fire place and they start a fire for you at night. There is also a heater for when that isn’t enough.”

”We had a beautiful time at Cananvalle. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It is a place quite a bit outside Ibarra and without transport you have to rely on taxis to get around. Saying that the local taxis are cheap and safe. ”

”Es una hostería muy bonita, llena de espacios verdes, amplia, tanto en sus instalaciones externas, como en las habitaciones, las mismas que son muy cómodas, solo hace falta tener algo más de amenities, pero del resto todo muy bien. ”This is a converted monastery / retreat center that is really comfortable, and has not only breakfast but a full dining room with a great dinner. It's right near Cotacahi and Lake Cuicacho. Staff is super friendly, breakfast is great. Two issues to be aware of: (1) it's hard to find and there and Google Maps had old road configurations which didn't work :( (2) the facility and gardens could use a little bit of tender loving care. All in al it was a great stay.”
