”Two good things about this property the staff and the fact that it is on Lake Huron. The whole place needs to be upgraded, especially for the price that they charge. They are understaffed and it shows in the cleanliness of the rooms. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and the floor was filthy. The bed sheets were clean and there was no sign of unwanted insects. Not worth the price.”

”Staff was nice and place was clean-ish. Got a pet room for an extra $30, then they charged an additional $30 as a pet fee. Bed was on a metal frame and made noise all night. Overall okay place, but we won't stay there again.”

”The owner was very nice and helpful and the cost was reasonable. The property, however, was significantly unkempt and the rooms were basically maintained but dusty. The beach was lovely, despite the many broken chairs around the property. Be sure to bring your own beach items. Very quiet and laid back most of the time. I probably won't return until it has been updated. The location is absolutely perfect.”

”We stayed in the Garden Cottage for a week and cannot recommend it for longer stays. While the property manager responded to our texts and generally sent maintenance within 24 hours, the property suffers from poor upkeep and temporary fixes. Our issues started at check-in when our entry code failed, and no one answered the phone, forcing us to communicate solely via text. Upon entry, the unit smelled strongly of marijuana, the bedroom closet door was broken, and a ceiling fan blade was hanging...

”It's a motor hotel, so you know it's not fancy when you book it. What made it great was that it clean, the staff made a very late check in (1AM) very easy, and it was much more reasonable price than other hotels in the area. It's a no frills but very clean and well run place. Would definitely book again when I'm in the area. Friendly staff too.”

”My husband and I spent the weekend here, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and such a refreshing escape from the city. We enjoyed watching the birds, but the highlight for me was seeing the baby deer roaming around. It was magical. At night, the stars were breathtaking, and the quiet made it even more special. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Sam, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Truly a perfect stay. We can’t wait to...
