”We have had a wonderful week at La Retraite which has exceeded our expectations. The picture from the website cannot fully capture the beauty of this rolling countryside and the exceptional views over the fields from this small hamlet which is at a slightly higher elevation looking down. We appreciated the beautiful sunsets and the lovely garden with its landscaped swimming pool. There were so many lovely touches from the welcome pack - including eggs of various sizes from the hens next door....

”The Manoir d’Isly was delightful. It has spacious rooms with high ceilings, 4 en-suites and 2 family shower rooms, lovely places for dining inside and out and a well-equipped kitchen. The pool, 2 table tennis tables, trampoline and baby-foot were great for the kids (aged 9-14).The attic bedroom with 4 beds is rather hot in the height of summer - luckily we didn’t need to use it. Fans are provided which is great.Excideuil has plenty of local activities including canoeing, tennis, running,...

”Très bon acceuil, Annabelle et Jean Christophe sont très sympas et disponibles, emplacement très calme au coeur de la verdure, la châtaigneraie apporte de la fraicheur, le mobile home est très propre et joliment décoré, tous les équipements fonctionnent bien, situé tout près d'Excideuil, petite ville périgourdine avec toutes les commodités, la région est magnifique”

”We were with 8 adults and had a lovely stay in the Perigord region with quiet surroundings. Just the sound of a lot of birds keeps you awake during the day. The castle is very well equipped and decorated and not to big, neither to small. It fits the number of guests very good. You can visit several nice little towns(one or two stars Michelin!) but make cycle or walking tours as well. In short: lovely castle and park, everything you need is there.”
