”Really liked the old house feel but very noisy by road”

”It was a very nice, clean apartment. Everything we needed was there. Very quiet. Once you find where it’s located it’s easy to get to. It is a second floor apartment so there are stairs to climb. Some people may need to know that. Overall we had an enjoyable stay. Very easy driving distance to Paintsville which was great for us. We recommend staying!”

”Despite a couple of issues "Homeplace" was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. I am a veteran so I have been to a number of locations. Becky answered my texts promptly. More importantly I had some difficulty locating the home. I didn't realize I was only a few blocks away. Becky answered my call and gave the directions to the house. I couldn't have found a better place to stay nor a better host. I certainly hope if I ever go to the area again this place is available. The home...

”The home and linens were clean, plenty of living space. The house is like walking into a time capsule of your grandmothers home. Very small bathrooms, drafty window AC units still installed in late November, old TVs. No grill outside was disappointing. Tight single stacked parking. There is another small house on the same lot with multiple vehicles coming and going, combined with the close neighbors and there is limited privacy and no outdoor space.”

”I like the a frame and owner was nice enough to allowed me to store my custom made kayaks in the garage. Liked the lake except for the Casting for Kids pro bass fishing Tournament. This is no place for a kayak while it’s in progress. Fortunately, Grayson Lake is in driving distance. Grayson has got to be the coolest flat water kayak lake. There is a nice 7 mile loop for hiking close by. ”

”Highly accommodating property for our large group of 8 friends/golfer! More than enough beds for grown men, and bathrooms. Kitchen area and tv area were good for gathering without feeling cramped. Porch was the winner at night for gather too. Thank u!”
