”Quite outdated but still clean and nice hotel with Japanese rooms. Only smoking rooms which for western standards is really strange and personally I didn't like but could get by it though.”

”very old hotel, less maintaining, the room window very small, feel not enough fresh air. not good at all.”

”We liked everything! Friendly staff, good kitchen and eating areas and a nice onsen. Would've been nice to stay for one more night.”

”This place needs major updates/renovations. The main activity is the onsen. Each day the men and women onsen location swaps. One location is closed in and I believe generally the men's section. This location is filled with mold and mildew on the ceiling and around the windows. Because the section is closed off from outside air, condensate builds up on the ceiling and falls into the bath. Not so cool. The buffet was okay. There were lots of options but they were not for me.”

”Floor bedding low cushion seats were difficult to use with bad knees but everything was clean and provided for all our needs. Takes getting used to even ordering meals the day before wirjs in a tiny town with few restaurants with limited hours”

”Exellent dinner buffet! Free shuttles (reserved) from Asahikawa and to Biei were very convenient. 3 mins walk to the famous Shirogane Bridge for great views. We didn't go to the Blue Pond due to transport logistics and lots of flying insects. Free water bottles and japanese sweets in room. Rooms were nice and clean. The only problem was our 2 rooms didn't have airconditioning, or rather, the central airconditioning is not effective at all. It was too hot to sleep for our 1 night stay in August...

”The hotel was in bad condition, ants and other bugs everywhere in the room. The staff used the fact that we were tired to overcharge us. The facilities were 15 years older than they look in the pictures where they already look old.”
