”I have used this hotel over a number of years- with always good service. Sadly it’s closing to be taken over by the Government to house asylum seekers. This is a big loss for Leyland because the hotel was well used by local people for events .”

”Room clean and adequate size. Would have been nice to have a fridge but we were given fresh water. Although there is no air on, they do provide a floor fan. Evening meal was delicious, as was the wine. English breakfast was ok - I couldn’t eat the sausages as it was very over seasoned with white pepper, so I didn’t enjoy it, but hubby who loves pepper was happy to eat mine. Check in and out was very easy. Annoyingly because we hadn’t booked direct with the hotel we where charged £12 parking.”

”There weren't shops or much nearby. But i think the purpose of this lodge is that you get to see the countryside and visit the 3 peaks Yorkshire as it's the closet by 27 mins drive. Plus it got a bath tub which is needed after a long hike.”
