”No security chain or bolt on the door. The front desk assigned someone else to our room and these other guests entered our room at around 10 pm, which scared both us and them. The room could have been cleaner.”

”Pet friendly, and accommodating. The room was clean, but needed some updates. Specifically, the electrical outlets were very loose, and out electronics plugs were falling out of the outlets.”

”This hotel has been a favorite spot for years, however, as of late it’s looking more than a bit run down. The staff was helpful, but even the “adults only” pool hours weren’t upheld.”

”Mattresses were very good. The Adirondack with firepits were a nice touch. The Breakfast was satisfactory. The carpet in the rooms needs to go, especially for a beach front hotel. The French press coffee maker in room too complicated.”

”The lady who checked us in sounds very aggressive but she is the sweetest lady. She made sure we had everything and our stay was very nice. It’s an older place that’s been remodeled a bit so it is decent. The view is the best part, it’s right on the beach and easy to get to. We went on Labor Day weekend so the price was a little high but it was the only hotel left so we took it. I would stay there again.”

”It served its purpose for an overnight trip. It was right on the bay and the view was beautiful. Otherwise, the hotel could use some sprucing up and they’d be better served getting rid of the carpet in the rooms. Definitely an old hotel but close proximity to everything.”

”We were very disappointed to find out that the sauna was not open during our stay. Having access to the sauna was one of the amenities we were looking forward to enjoying when we booked the hotel, especially as part of a relaxing beach getaway. It was frustrating to arrive and discover that this amenity was unavailable, particularly because this was not something we were expecting when we made our reservation. We feel that guests should be clearly informed ahead of time when advertised...

”Sunset Haven is a hidden gem and I’m afraid to write a good review for fear it’ll become popular and harder for me to book again!! There really aren’t amenities aside from the coffee in the room so that was hard to rate. It’s a cozy little place with only 12 rooms, gorgeous views, clean and lovely!! The construction that is mentioned in other reviews is offsite in a nearby lot. I believe a new hotel is being built (there was one there before). Hard to say if it’ll disturb future guests but it...
