”We had a great time staying at Amaranta, very friendly and smily staff always trying to make us feel welcomed and ready to help. Facilities are always clean, rooms are large and very clean, very comfortable bed, the only thing I would say it wasnt that great is the AC going from 0 to hero but it works! The food at the restaurant was really good. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxed staying.”

”We loved staying at this hotel and found the setting and scenery very beautiful. the hotel consists of little bungalows inside the forest, right next to the lake. I would like to see more information about the hotel services to be more readily available in the rooms and public areas (ie spa & other facilities). the pool should be renovated and enlarged. Also the hotel should provide some paddle boats and kayaks for rent so that people can enjoy the beautiful lake.”

”The panamamic views surrounding the house are absolutely gorgeous! My wife and I have stayed at places all over the world (36 countries and counting) and this house ranks in our top 5. The room is huge (with a large, modern bathroom), and the house has a stocked game room with pool, ping pong, foosball, and more plus a giant chessboard outside. ”Food good, breakfast nice, although expensive. Swimming pool looked and prob was lovely but right next to restaurant with glass walls so a bit too public for us. Nice sitting area close to trees with monkeys passing through. Staff very courteous and helpful, they arranged an elephant safari for us the same afternoon we arrived. The hotel is quite far from any other hotels or sights - Sigiriya is about 40 mins - so there’s no walking to eat anywhere else but you could get a tuktuk.”
