”A note: When I got to this hotel, my room wasn't free (this probably meant that the room that was checked for me in my reservation), was actually already in use. So I had to stay in a family room for the first night. ”The most warm welcome I’ve had in Sri Lanka! The hostel manager was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay, I could really recommend the place. Good free breakfast and nice communal areas. Although it was low season and the hostel was quite empty, I still found new friends.”

”We had a wonderful stay at Angel Rest. The owners are very kind and helpful. We cooked in their kitchen, showed them some of our cuisine and got taught making crab curry. Its just 200m to the beach and 800m to the supermarket. The rooms and bathroom are new, bed is comfortable. We added two extra days.”

”We stayed here 4 nights and it was fantastic! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. The food was good, served at tables under the shade of the coconut trees by our waiter, Karu, who was always attentive and polite. ”We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ballena Regency. The hotel is new (its a year old), and has been finished to a very good standard. Our room was large, and being on the third floor, had great views including a side view of the ocean. The room was very clean, lots of storage and hanging space, and very good a/c!
