”Great hosts and very helpfull. Unfortunately for us, the majority of our time was spent on Gwynns Island while there. Very easy access to all Matthews county has to offer from this location. Highly recommend this property for longer stays.”

”Incredible weekend at a perfect house. This is one of the best homes we have ever stayed in: clean, perfectly laid out, well stocked kitchen and all the yard games and puzzles you could ever need. We all slept in as the beds were so comfortable with soft sheets. And the library has a great wide variety of books to dive into. We had the best weekend and wish he had been able to stay longer. ”

”I have to say that I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the house. I realize that it is a very large house, but all the same, it should have been cleaned and maintained better for a short-term rental. The owner only supplied one old bath towel and one cheap new wash clothe per guest. No hand towels were initially provided. I contacted the owner and she had towel sent very quickly. The rugs did not look vacuumed, the bathroom rugs were dirty, the shower curtains were mildewed, and...

”This is a great place to stay for families. Lots of room in the house and plenty of yard space. We loved the old timey feel to the house. Reminded me of growing up at my great grandfathers. Kitchen was very roomy and easy to cook in. Very clean. Most important thing about this place is they allowed us to bring our fur baby. We have a hard time finding places that lets us bring her, so this was definitely a plus. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.”

”We enjoyed our stay. Home was clean with good A/C and the bay breeze also nice outside. My wife really loved the sunrise. The island is a nice quiet get away spot, but still within 10-40 min. or so of some nice small town's or a day trip to York / Williamsburg. Very nice sandy beach, just would have liked access to a small rake for the pine needles. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.”

”My family had a wonderful time at Mariner's Legacy. The house is lovely. The kitchen is modern and well outfitted. The wrap-around porch is fantastic for sitting and watching the water, wildlife and family. We were even treated to a very large pod of dolphins coming up the river. It's a lovely, private location for a family reunion. Danette and Rick were welcoming and helpful. We will be returning next year!”
