”We enjoyed staying here. As a big cat lover I was pleased of the friendly cats they had. The only negative side was the noise which started between 7-8am on mornings. We stayed in unit number 1 so I think that the staff started their day in the room next to ours. Also a sponge for dishes in the room would be nice to have - now we had to borrow it from the kitchen. ”

”My husband and I stayed for 30 days. Corrine was a most welcoming host. She gave us a tour of the farm and supplied us with many examples of the fruit that grows on the farm. While there the sheep had lambs. It was great. She gave us tips about the island and was very helpful. The apartment is huge. We had a lot of room. It was the cleaniest home we have stayed in. It is quiet and comfortable. It was located so it was easy to go into Hilo or explore the rest of the island. It was a wonderful...

”We were there Jan14-17 2026. It’s an older home tucked into a quiet neighborhood about 25 miles north of Hilo—so it’s a bit remote if that matters to you. We loved the location and neighborhood. As someone else mentioned, the interior has a cozy “Maine cabin” feel, but it’s nice and clean, with amenities as advertised. The deck is huge and very comfortable, with an amazing view over the North Pacific! The owners are great—very communicative and helpful. We left the doors open and screens closed...

”We arrived to a pool that was dirty and had dead frogs in it and a dead Jackson chameleon jammed in between the screen which had been there long enough to develop maggots. Ever stay in a a lot of dollar a night VRBO who had no back up toilet paper and no coffee, tea, or even a filter this is your place. Imagine paying all this money not even having enough toiletries for one night for all guests and no store Within 30 minutes to get anything from. This place once upon a time was nice, now it is...

”The location is lovely, room was lovely, grounds and pool areas very comfortable. Based on the VRBO amenities listing we thought we had full kitchen, when we go to the property we realized we didn't. Chad updated his listing to make correction. Be sure you read the rules in their entirety- I didn't realize we had to request the hot tub be heated, and that it would only be heated from 8pm-10pm. The information was in the rules. ”

”Positives: Close to activities we were interested in (waterfall hikes, lava tube exploring, horseback tour, etc). Well-appointed with furnishings, kitchen appliances, BBQ utensils, and the like. Did not want for such items! Mostly private setting with orchard behind house. Improvements: Bedroom windows did not lock, but were elevated well above ground level. Not sure if bed linens were laundered recently, but laundry on-site. No outside trash bin. Cell service not great in the immediate area,...
