”It’s a bit off the road, but nice and clean. A simple place with “no frills “. We ate well and rested well also. Be sure and ask for directions, Google maps takes you to the wrong place!”

”I have wanted to stay at Sunbird since 1990 but could never afford it. Possibly my last trip to Malawi I thought I would treat myself. I was very disappointed. The hotel is run down and the restaraunt had after 3 selections not one available. If returning to Mzuzu I will book at the Grand Palace as much better value for money”

”A dated property that requires some attention in the rooms, bathroom needs updating. Outdoor is kept clean and neat gardens Lake Malawi views from the rooms was a bonus! Very friendly staff ”

”Beautiful, quiet property. The staff were extremely accommodating. The food was delicious (I recommend the spaghetti bolognese!). It is about a 25 minute walk to downtown which wasn’t a problem for us. ”
