”We stayed for the month of May and were so impressed with the property. It is so peaceful and enjoyed the pool and the deck every day. Right from the deck we saw the three toed sloth, toucans, humming birds, brown jays, Montezuma Oropendola, wood creepers, woodpeckers, and many other beautiful songbirds. A group of swallows come for a dip in the pool every day to cool off. Howler monkeys can be heard each morning, and the view is amazing. The house does not have air conditioning but it is...

”The Retreat Costa Rica is a dream—it’s everything I expected and so much more. This beautiful retreat is secluded, peaceful, and truly feels like a place to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself. The food is amazing, the people are wonderful, and there are so many opportunities to nourish both body and soul. They offer a variety of yoga classes, sound healing, hikes, and advanced treatments and therapies. Because this is a very small resort, it has a wonderfully...

”Everything I did over there was amazing ! Will definitely go back .”

”We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at La Vida Mountain Resort and Spa. We particularly enjoyed the evenings watching spectacular thunderstorms flashing in distant skies over other valleys while there was not a drop of rain where we were. The food was consistently very good and the staff always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.”

”La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated. The owners, Charles and Peter, were an absolute delight. We talked through the entire breakfast and Charles even joined us one day for breakfast. The staff was also delightful. Mauricio...

”The place itself is very beautiful. We had a nice breakfast and got to see the butterfly garden. My kids enjoyed it a lot.”

”We stayed here during a family vacation and were blown away by this beautiful property that’s located in Bajos del Toro, a truly spectacular location in central Costa Rica. William, the owner happened to be there during our visit and both he and Viktor, his business partner, were welcoming and helpful - truly lovely people. The beds were comfortable, the property was clean and well-equipped, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed drinking our coffee on the back porch overlooking the waterfall....

”An absolutely great place and a fantastic host! I’d love to come back anytime! Thanks for everything.”

”Outstanding experience. We arrived in San Jose and wanted to catch our breath before our 3 hour drive the next day. Chayote Lodge was exceptional. Great view, very nice restaurant on property, comfortable beds and great sheets. Chayote, the canine greeter, is delightful. Lovely!”

”La propiedad es muy hermosa. Lo único es que está en recuperación financiera por lo que no se puede esperar más de la cuenta. El pico personal es atento y servicial.”

”We had such a wonderful experience staying here! The property was beautiful and had such a peaceful, jungle-like feel, even though it was conveniently close to town. It felt very private and surrounded by nature, and we were lucky enough to see several different types of birds during our stay. They have parking inside, so if you have any friends or guest that drive and want to come visit they can leave there car parked inside. gs on the property that would bark occasionally, most likely when...

”El desayuno fue muy rico, buen servido. Sobre todo, aunque la recepcionista, Tania, habla casi ningun de ingles, era muy paciente y dando de cabida con mis muchas preguntas, solicitaciones por informacion viajal. Gracias! L. Venditto”

”The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok...
