”Good for the price!”

”I went as a solo traveller in fall on a work trip. I was upgraded to a room with a porch and a view. The staff were excellent. I had dinner one night in the restaurant and the food and service was very good. My room was very comfortable. I would like to go back in season and stay in a cottage.”

”It was a very clean, newly updated room. The only issue is the a/c hardly blew out cold air. The weather was not to hot so it was not a huge deal but a hot summer night would be uncomfortable. It was a very quiet area and big parking spot which was good since we had our food trailer with us.”

”My wife and I stayed at the Westwind Inn this past weekend and were disappointed by both the value and customer service. When we arrived, the parking lot was nearly empty. We learned only 3 of the Inn's 32 rooms were occupied Friday night. Due to issues with the Inn's website, I had to book through Expedia and was assigned a woods-facing room. Given how empty the property was, I asked about moving to a lake-view room. Although many were available, I was charged an additional $75 per night plus...

”Beth was a very gracious host. The camper was clean and well appointed. The grounds was spacious. There were outdoor games (connect 4 and Tetris). Beth even showed my toddler her chicken coup!”

”These are fishing cottages, not fancy B and B accommodations. In that sense, you get what you pay for. That said, we had to contend with a toilet that wouldn’t refill, a stove so dirty that one burner burst into flames when we turned it on, a shower with a control valve handle that kept coming off in our hands…and lots of flies. The onsite manager is a good man who does the best he can, but the properties really need to be upgraded.”

”I would give it a 5 star but when we arrived the grass hadn't been mowed and to sit around the fire pit we had to stomp down the grass to enjoy the fire, saying that the mosquitoes were pretty bad. I tried communicating with the host a few times and no response from her. There were no bath towels or face clothes, luckily we brought our own. Other than that the cottage was cozy and the kitchen was stocked with what you needed. Close to neighbouring towns for hiking and small town shopping.”

”This is a charming little cottage on the host’s lakefront property with a beautiful lake view, an outdoor sitting area perfect for reading by the water, and shared dock access to kayaks, canoes and water activities. The host, Mark, is extremely friendly and helpful, and generously provided everything I could possibly need. The cottage itself was cozy and spotless. This was a perfect, quiet weekend getaway, and I can’t wait to come again.”
