”Enjoyed every minute. The river-facing windows and deck allowed us to experience the view all day and night. Don’t be fooled by the charming vintage exterior because the amenities are all in excellent condition. The mattresses are among the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The bathroom is luxurious with the jacuzzi being everything you could ask for. Close to spectacular hiking trails and scenery. Highly recommend!”

”I rented this cabin for my dad and aunt to come down for Memorial Day weekend as they have done for the last 2 years. This year was the little different my dad suffered a heart attack and didn't make it the host was amazing and offered an extra night so that my brother could come in to make funeral arrangements. I highly recommend this cabin not just because it is very lovely but also because the host is amazing! ”

”This was a perfect place to stay for our hiking weekend. Clean, and had everything we needed. ”

”We had a great time this weekend hiking around and coming back to the cabin and building a fire. The TV worked great for when we were going to bed at night. The kitchen had what we needed to cook a fine meal. I would definitely book again in the future.”

”Our beds were cheap, thin, and uncomfortable. The piece of metal stripping between the carpet and kitchen floor was bent up and not safe if someone stepped or tripped on it. We put the trash can on top of it. The door lining was off some. Incredible view! ”

”Our group included a couple of siblings in their 60’s and niece with a couple of her children. The home was perfect for our gathering but perhaps the most perfect part of the home was the yard and the creek!! Southern Illinois held so many hiking and waterfall adventures. I’d highly recommend checking out so many hidden gems in America!!”

”My sister and I stayed here for the weekend to go hike garden of the gods. It’s a 2 minute drive from the cabin. The cabin was easy to locate, private, but also not far from Harrisburg which offered grocery store and restaurants. The hot tub was nice and we thought it was awesome you offered firewood for the pit! The check in process wasn’t hard, but I prefer being able to sign electronic docs and enter my code and read the rules. Going to the store was a little over whelming and busy. I would...

”A wonderful property for a relaxing getaway. Great views, kayaking, close proximity to Metropolus & Paducah, and most importantly the Shawnee National Forest. I look forward to this retreat every year! ”
