”Mould in kettle and in the fridge in the “Lounge”. Fridge turned off with milk with a expiry date of November 2025 (3) The ladies shared toilet and floor were disgustingly filthy. Bed sheets were clean but had come wrinkled like they had been sitting in the bottom of a washing basket for a week. Absolutely no amenities in room. Air conditioner above your head which did not work and was so noisy. Have never written a bad review and have stayed in many budget accommodation, but never anything like...

”Awesome. Traditional pub stay. Room was spartan but very comfortable. Excellent meal in the evening and drinks at 1970s prices. And cost was half of what I paid up the Track to stay in a ‘donga’. Staff were very friendly and helpful. When next in Burra, I’ll definitely be staying at the Royal Exchange Hotel. (Thanks, Harrison)”

”We enjoyed our stay here very much.The house was well-equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had everything we required to self-cater. The shower was superb with the hot water coming on fast and strong. The collection on display was inspired, interesting, and intriguing. The garden was lovely too.”

”This property was exceptionally clean including all crockery and cutlery. It had the charm of a heritage building combined with the basic elements to make our stay a pleasant one. One bathroom with toilet within may be a consideration for some. The grounds are lovely with a great bbq entertaining area that would be excellent in the warmer months. ”
