”No coffee maker in my room, and the coffee in the lobby only available after 7:30 am. The worst thing was the lack of sound proofing - I could hear the TV in the next room, and it was on until about 3 am. I had to use ear plugs.”

”My boys loved the place! The kayaks, fishing rod and fire pit were great. However the smell of pet urine and perfume covered the carpets. There was a film ontop of the carpets almost like a wax and we had to keep socks on. I see past guests said the same thing but the claims were dismissed as bad guests. The scent is a real problem, please change the flooring so guests can fully enjoy the experience.”

”Beautiful old resort and grounds. Disappointed that pool was closed for maintenance. After paying a lot for the room, we were surprised that we were charged 5.00 each for a small coffee. Most hotels we stayed in have a complimentary coffee in the lobby”

”Stunning view from the 3rd floor balcony!! Great surprise doughnuts and yogurt available in the morning. Great downtown location, close to restaurants and shops.”

”Overall great experience”

”Friendly staff and quiet environment”

”Staff at the front desk were kind and welcoming . The room was very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and rooms were updated nicely.”

”Deepest appreciation Bruce and Bronte ! You're a home away from home (ours is Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, BC)”

”Clean room, helpful staff, great location.”

”Excellent in all regards. Host Fred very welcoming. House is filled with amazing collectibles from all over the world. We had the bedroom at the end of the hall upstairs which was very comfortable with its own very modern bathroom. Breakfast was amazing with lots of fresh fruit and specially prepared scrambled eggs bacon and home fries!!! The 3 French bulldogs were a bonus. We would highly recommend this property to future travelers.”

”It’s a beautiful historic property. We were greeted on arrival and given great information about the area. It’s a short walk to the Main Street shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean, temperature controls were available and felt very private. We did not get to enjoy the onsite cafe but will look forward to it next trip.”

”Amazing staff!!”

”Our stay was amazing. Would recommend to friends and family. Plan to go back sometime. ”

”Great location near restaurants and waterfront, but yet quite with an inviting wrap around porch. On site parking was appreciated. Friendly host. You will experience the life in an old charming Victorian house.”
