”Très bon accueil dans cet hôtel charmant, dans ce village fort calme en ce début de février. L’hôtel est bien tenu, bien décoré, avec d’anciennes machines à coudre et à écrire, bien entretenues, dispersés dans les couloirs. Hâte d’y revenir en été pour profiter de la piscine et du jardin. ”

”La Partoucie is a fantastic property and set in the most beautiful grounds. We spent most of the time outdoors where there is ample space to sit in the shade or to relax in the pool. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay.”

”After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed.”

”The most wonderful hosts and idyllic location. Beautiful huge garden, always plenty going on in what seemed like a very small town. Stephen and Michaela were so warm and welcoming and were very knowledgeable on the local area with some fabulous recommendations for food and things to do nearby. Great facilities and very clean house, even had an air fryer which is a proper luxury in France! There is so much in and around Confolens if you’re willing to look for it! Would stay again in a heart beat.”

”What a lovely gite this is. A hidden gem in rural Charente, and we absolutely loved our stay here at Chocolate Box Cottage. It is a beautiful spot. And if you want a quiet location, this is it. L'extérieur est tres bien avec la petite piscine la grande terrasse et six transats et le coin repas et salon sous l'appentis sont génial. Maison rénové avec beaucoup de goût et de passion, location à faire sans hésitation pour la beauté de la région le charme la maison et la gentillesse de Theresa la propriétaire. ”
