”Great hotel; property is new and in very good condition. Conveniently located a few minutes walk to the bus station. Was a great choice for me as I was only stopping in El Calafate for Perito Moreno Glacier. It is a bit of a walk to the main part of town, about 20 minutes, which I didn’t mind as I like to get out and walk and the weather was nice enough to do so. If you’re staying longer in El Calafate and don’t have a car or the weather isn’t great you might want to stay closer to the main town...

”Divino lugar y debo decir huele riquisimoooooo en todas sus areas. Facil ingreso, solo ten en cuenta que el check in tiene horarios, porque no hay nadie por la noche. Desayuno muy bueno, habitacion un poco pequeña pero suficiente para dormir, camas muy comodas, baño muy espacioso. a 500metros mas o menos de la calle principal en donde encontraras de todo para comer y tiendas de conveniencia. Muy recomendable ”

”Enjoyed my stay at the Splendor by Wyndham El Calafate immensely. It was a very nice luxurious lodge, with spacious and comfortable rooms, lots of spaces for food and coffee, excellent cuisine, very friendly and professional staff, in a convenient location with Lake Argentina visible in the distance, with El Perito glacier accessible by guided or self tour. El Chalten and Mt. Fitz Roy are about 90 minutes from the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel.”

”We had a nice time at La Cantera hotel. It was clean and friendly staff. The hotel overall looks a bit tired and rundown. Its a 10 minute walk to the main street, Avenida Livertador.”

The personnel was very, very helpful with all of our requests, and the restaurant staff was amazing. Everything was great! The privately-bookable mini spa with jacuzzis and infrared saunas was especially great, with awesome views.”

The restaurant was pretty but noisy and not a gastronomic triumph; WiFi and jacuzzi worked well; everything was clean and orderly. The spa and gym were not much worth mentioning. The surroundings of the hotel are not the prettiest, but the view to the lake & mountains are nice!”

”Poor staff attitudes, Far from welcomjng and not keen at all on helping, we found reception and also breakfast staff rather unhelpful. We had free drinks per day with our booking yet was not told about them when checked in. When we queried it they were very evasive like it was a problem. We got them but it wasnt a welcoming experience. Had dinner at the hotel one night, average and again not the best service. For the quality and price of the hotel I would have expected far kinder and nicer...

”It’s definitely one of the three nicest hotels in town. The hidden gem is the restaurant. On a street littered with same-same backpacker joints, this restaurant has a real chef and grows its own vegetables. Because it’s not on the main drag it’s easy to walk into even when other places have a wait. In my experience it’s the best in town. ”

”A bit of a mixed bag. The positives are it's a very quiet location, the staff are friendly and helpful,I had a couple of technical issues with the room and the engineer came to fix them within minutes, and the room was clean and comfortable. I also booked the apartment which was very spacious and with a good kitchenette. The negatives are their photo showed a sofa but I didn't have one, just a stored away bed. This meant I only had chairs to rest on, or lay on the bed. It's a ground floor appt...
