Room was new and very well done and equipped with everything one would need. Continental breakfast was a nice touch. The rooms are laid out such that other guests walk past your patio and doors which is probably unavoidable but obviously has an impact on privacy. ”The hotel is charming and in a lovely setting on the river. It feels like they have recently updated the rooms and bathrooms but the carpets are horrendous. When you walk into the hallways the stains are so bad that I didn't want to stay there and was immediately worried about the rooms. The rooms were nice but with the same terrible carpet. ”Property looked great in pictures, fairly decent upon arrival. The main disappointment was that there was absolutely no one present in the whole property when we arrived. We had to call a phone number and wait until the receptionist arrived and took us to our room. The restaurant was not open and so was the spa. The property and room were fair but we would not recommend this place at all for the absolute lack of service availability.”

”A gem of a place for a birthday overnight stay. Laurent and Bruno were exceptionally warm and welcoming and our son was delighted that his bedroom had the beautiful view of the Chateau Gaillard! Seizing the moment early Sunday morning to look at the respective views whilst reading, we knew we would like to return for longer. The best breakfast on Sunday morning made it hard to leave.
