”Clean and updated room, nice bedding and towels, AC unit works great; just no coffee maker or hair dryer so if these are a must, bring your own. I stayed here to travel in between Hungry Mother and Mt Rogers areas, great hiking and mountain views. Saltwell and Skull Gap are nice overlook areas, also Virginia 16 for Back of the Dragon. Rogers is about 20 min away, as is Hungry Mother, Chilhowie is the perfect small town spot to stay in. ”

” Very nice hotel. One of the nicest comfort inns that I had ever stayed in. Room was super clean. I really had to look hard to find something not perfect. Good hot water in bathroom and fast EV charging onsite. Very rare to find such a well kept hotel at a fairly remote interstate exit. Was kind of run like more of a bed and breakfast, with nice personal touches.”

”For a location with a cleaning fee, you would expect it to be clean upon arrival. It had clearly been “spot” cleaned, but we found stained, dirty sheets, dishes with food still on them and dirty bathrooms. There is an infestation of smallish black spiders in the master bedroom and bathroom. We had no communication from the owners, instead found notes left around the property with instructions. It was necessary for us to use air conditioning due to unseasonable warmness, but even with that the...

”The cabin was as perfect as it gets. The location was quiet and peaceful, exactly what I was looking for. The host provided so many extras that there wasn't anything I was left needing. The inside had the most amazing decorations ever. I took a dozen photos of the inside just to show my wife. I hope to be able to stay again, and I would offer my highest recommendation to anyone looking for a great getaway.”

”The house is absolutely beautiful. It was immaculately clean and fully equipped to provide all of our needs. The hot tub was a dream after such a long trip and very clean as well. The scenery and views from the homes porches were perfect for our little Fall getaway and provided plenty of space for all of us. My children and grandchildren loved the their rooms and the house! ”One of the warmest welcomes I've had at a rental! Carol and Robert were spectacular hosts. When we arrived we found fresh cookies set out for us, a little jar of local honey, eggs and biscuits in the fridge, and a sweet welcome note.
