”This is our preferred stay when visiting the area, repeat visits and the staff is consistently helpful and polite, place is consistently clean. Breakfast was minimal this time, but it still suited us. Husband was happy with the ac, but I would have preferred a cooler output.”

”Room was quite clean. Plenty of outlets available. Nice fridge, microwave and coffee maker with plenty of k-cups. Nice TV. Could have used some bedside tables. Kept nicking our ankles on the corners of the bed. Kinda loud with the highway right outside but earplugs took care of that.”

”The hotel was standard fare for this type of establishment—continental breakfast (a bit disappointing—while they had the standard waffle maker, there were no eggs or sausage). The photos on this site, as well as the amenities list, needs to be updated, as there is no longer a hot tub. It has been filled in with cement, and a pool table has been placed over it. (The pool table is free of charge, just request equipment at the front desk.)”

”We were in Thorp visiting relatives in the area. We were thrilled to find this house so we didn’t have to stay at the local hotel. The house is adorable, clean, and a lovely retreat if you are in the area. I hope to stay here again next year when I am visiting family.”

”As a pet friendly place, it’s a good location for other activities in the area. We did not use the dock much, nor the pontoon boat, but both were available. The host allowed our family to stay overnight during a thunderstorm. That was above and beyond expectations and very much appreciated!”

Loved the sunrises and sitting in the living room resting my feet from hiking the IAT. It was so peaceful and quiet. The owners are delightful and their communication and responses fast! ”It was cozy, clean, and comfortable with a beautiful view. Only a couple suggestions. I had tried emailing owner about cell service in the area and never heard. You could list on property and there is no wifi and sketchy cell service so people are aware. And in check in email, it would have been helpful to know where the lock box was. It was tricky to find in the dark. Thank you for a delightful stay!”

”My husband and I had a lovely stay! The property was beautiful and we loved the cabin. It was furnished perfectly and was super clean. The owners went out of their way to fulfill a few of our requests (like using their paddle boat) and they were very friendly and relaxed. We fished on the little lake for hours and caught crappies, sunnies, northern pike, and a bass. This stay was very worth it for the price.”
